Foraging Walk and Survival Diet

► Ever wonder how well you would do if you were lost overnight in the forest?
► Ever wonder how you could supplement your dinner table with ‘free’ food?
► Ever wonder how you could eat more deliciously and nutritiously?
foraging walkJoin Heather on a foraging walk in 3 ecosystems along the legacy trail. We will identify approximately 20 – 30 plants that may be used for food or medicinal qualities on the walk, as well as sample a tea or snack made with them. Come dressed for the weather and bugs. This is a fun opportunity to learn how to ethically forage, when plants are best harvested, and how to prepare them for use. The walk is about 3km in total, yet the path is paved and the pace will be slow with lots of discussion stops.
